ATLANTA — Lil Nas X said he was “already doing better” on Tuesday, a day after he posted videos from the hospital where he’d gone with what he described as partial face paralysis.
The Atlanta rapper and entertainer did not explain in his posts exactly what had caused him losing control of the right side of his face.
But he was laughing and joking throughout the video, and said in his Instagram story, “Guys I am ok! Stop being sad for me!” In another frame of his story, he wrote: “Imma look funny for a lil bit but that’s it.”
Then Tuesday, his updates included that his right eye was still being “stubborn” but that his condition had already much improved.
“Imma be good. Smile getting a lil better,” he wrote. He later posted a clip of himself roller skating.
In his original video posted Monday, Lil Nas X was in a hospital bed marveling at his own condition.
“When I smile… this is me doing a full smile right now by the way,” he said, partly laughing as he struggled to move his full face. “Just look… like what the f***, bro I can’t even laugh right.”
Evidently the 26-year-old Grammy winner was discharged sometime between then and Tuesday morning, when he posted himself roller skating.
Justin Bieber made headlines in 2022 when his face was paralyzed through Ramsay Hunt syndrome. He fully recovered across the next few months.
There was no indication Lil Nas X had the same diagnosis in this episode.
