BLUEFIELD, W.Va. – A Virginia man has been charged with making threats online to Vice President Kamala Harris and Former President Barrack Obama. This announcement comes from the United States Department of Justice.

According to the DOJ, 66-year-old Frank Lucio Carillo from Winchester has been charged with 14 counts. These include the following:

  • 5 counts of making threats against Vice President Kamala Harris
  • 5 counts of interstate communications with a threat to kidnap or injure Vice President Kamala Harris
  • 2 counts of making threats against Former President Obama
  • 2 counts of interstate communications with a threat to kidnap or injure Former President Obama

Per court documents, Carillo posted thousands of messages under the name “joemadarats1″ on social media platform GETTR. The FBI reportedly found over 4,000 posts, comments, and replies made by Carillo targeting various public officials.

Law Enforcement investigated and confirmed that the “joemadarats1″ username was used by Carillo at his home in Winchester.

On August 2, a search warrant was executed by the FBI at Carillo’s home, and captured a 9mm pistol, an AR-15 rifle, and thousands of rounds of ammunition.

The investigation is still ongoing.
