CASS, W.Va. – Crews battled a fire near Cass and Green Bank, and the U.S. Forest Service says people visiting the area may still see smoke in the area.
The Monongahela National Forest office of the U.S. Forest Service said the 3-5 acre fire started around 4:30pm on August 28. The fire, named the Train Track Incident, was reportedly contained after crews were able to get a containment line around the fire that night.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
