A woman who leapt from the roof of a 10-story building survived the harrowing fall after landing on the back of a pickup truck Thursday, according to police and witnesses.
The 31-year-old woman jumped from the roof of The Christopher — a 207-unit supportive housing facility at the site of the former Robert McBurney YMCA — at W. 24th St. near 7th Ave. in Chelsea around 1:36 p.m., cops and witnesses told the Daily News.
The owner of the black Ram pickup told the News he was inside the vehicle parked on W. 24th St. when the woman slammed onto the truck’s bedrail.
“I was sitting in my truck when she landed on my truck!” the man said.
Paramedics rushed the woman to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, cops said.
The facility managed by Breaking Ground provides permanent housing for low-income or formerly homeless adults and those living with HIV or AIDS, according to a webpage for The Christopher.
