AUSTIN, Texas — One person is dead after they were hit by a vehicle Friday morning along U.S. Highway 290.
According to the Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services (ATCEMS) and Travis County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO), an adult was struck around 7:30 a.m. on the 10200 block of U.S. Highway 290 eastbound at Circle Drive.
TCSO said the road will be closed for the next two hours, but it could be closed longer. Drivers are being delayed and should avoid the area until further notice.
