Former Strictly Come Dancing star Ellie Taylor has revealed she paid a visit to Urgent Care after her muscle went ‘pop’ in a painful-sounding injury.
The 40-year-old comedian has recently been filming Celebrity Gladiators alongside Rob Beckett, Louise Minchin and Joel Dommett, which she admitted was ‘brutal’ and ‘physically arduous’.
But it was actually a trip to a soft play centre with her daughter that landed her in hospital.
Sharing a picture on Instagram in which she held crutches and her foot was wrapped up in a boot, Ellie wrote: ‘A brutal, physically arduous day filming Celebrity Gladiators = no probs.
’30mins in a soft play with my daughter = visit to Urgent Care.’

The Ted Lasso star went on: ‘Nothing like trying to show off in front of some children to bring you back down to earth with a bump.
‘Or a pop, which is what my calf muscle did as I heroically raced up a treacherous 3ft ramp.’
She was showered in well-wishes from fans and friends alike, with fellow Strictly star Angela Scanlon commenting: ‘Oh babe.’
Helen Skelton added: ‘Wow – u really did a good job there lovely. Take care.’
‘Ouch! Hope you get better soon and keep well away from those soft play areas. I did my shoulder in many years ago in one such place!’ Gaby Roslin said.
This comes after Ellie, who appeared on Strictly in 2022 and was partnered with Johannes Radebe, revealed her stint filming Celebrity Gladiators was ‘hard’ but ‘really fun’.
‘I mean, the day after, I felt like I’d been hit by a bus made of muscly women,’ she said, according to Yahoo! Entertainment.
‘It was so intense and so much fun and, you know, I did get to have a go at the travelator.’
She previously shared her reaction to appearing on the BBC competition, which comes after the beloved show was revived last year with the likes of Fire, Fury and Steel taking to the arena.
