A man has been arrested seven months after a fatal crash where a bus hit a pedestrian in Glasgow. The crash happened around 7.30am on Saturday, January 27, near the junction with Horselethill Road.

Emergency services raced to the scene, but the pedestrian, a 65-year-old man, could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police Scotland c onfirmed on Saturday that a 55-year-old man has been charged in connection with a road traffic offence.

There was an appeal for witnesses and fotoage following the horror accident in January.

A Police Scotland statement read: “A 55-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a road traffic offence following a fatal crash on Great Western Road, Glasgow.

“The crash happened around 7.30am on Saturday, 27 January, 2024, involving a bus and a pedestrian.

“The pedestrian, a 65-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
