A motorcyclist has died following a collision in East Kilbride on Friday, August 30.

Emergency services raced to the scene on Glenburn Road at its junction with Glenburn Way after receiving reports of a crash involving a green Kawasaki motorbike at around 3.20pm.

The 32-year-old male was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police Scotland is now appealing for witnesses to come forward as they continue to investigate the incident.

Police Scotland Sergeant Chris Hoggans said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died at this very difficult time.

“Inquiries into the circumstances are ongoing and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident and has not already spoken to officers to please contact us.

“I would also ask anyone who was driving in the area around that time who may have dash-cam to please review their footage and contact us if it holds anything relevant.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference number 2424 of August 30.”
