Proud gran Lorraine Kelly has shared her joy after her daughter Rosie gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.
ITV’s beloved presenter posted a picture of the family’s latest arrival after Rosie Kelly-Smith and her fiancé Steve White welcomed little Billie Kelly Smith-White into the world on August 29th.
Rosie announced her daughter’s birth on Instagram on Sunday evening. Posting alongside a cute picture of the little one grabbing onto her index finger, she wrote: “Baby Billie Kelly Smith-White is here. 29-08-2024.
“It feels like she’s been here the whole time and we’re not quite sure what the point of anything was before. I’d heard how amazing midwives are but they are genuinely walking angels – she’s been welcomed into the world with so much love already.”
Lorraine quickly shared Rosie’s post saying she was “delighted” to finally become ‘Granny Smith’.
She said: “I have been BURSTING to share this wonderful news with you! Baby Billie is an angel and I’m so proud of @rosiekellysmith and @stevewhite94 who will be the best parents. I’m delighted to be Granny Smith and can’t wait to go on adventures. #love#joy #happiness#family
The daytime host’s celebrity friends were quick to congratulate her. Susanna Reid wrote: “Huge huge love to you all and especially to tiny precious Baby Billie.” Kate Garraway added: “Wonderful wonderful news!!!!”
Whilst Ruth Langsford said: “How WONDERFUL! Enjoy every second of being Granny!” Piers Morgan also sent a message. The journalist added: “Many congrats to you all!”
Earlier this year Lorraine said she was over the moon about becoming a gran. Sharing Rosie’s pregnancy announcement, she wrote: “THE most exciting thing to have ever happened in our family!”
She continued, expressing her eagerness to embrace her new role: “Cannot wait to be a granny and so proud of Rosie and her Steve. It’s the best news EVER!”
