BLUEFIELD, W.Va. – Toyota has announced a recall on one of the full-sized SUV hybrids.

On Monday, Toyota said they are recalling more than 43,000 of their Toyota Sequoia’s because the tow hitch cover on the rear bumper can detach and fall into the roadway.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said the covers could become road hazards and increase the amount of crashes.

The recalled vehicles include the 2023 and 2024 model years, and Toyota said their dealers will fix the problem for free.
