PIPESTEM, W.Va. -Today September 2, is the last day visitors got to make a splash at Pipestem Adventure Lake for the season.

Located inside Pipestem State Park, the popular attraction opened to the public on Memorial Day for their 6th season featuring many water inflatables that visitors can climb and play on.

During this year’s season, the lake saw around 15,000 guests.

General Manager of Pipestem Adventures Angie Ellison says, along with people visiting from out of state there were many locals that wanted to stay close to home this summer.

“I think it gives them an opportunity to take their children and their families someplace local and enjoy an adventure,” said Ellison. “Where, maybe they’re not going on a big vacation this year, but they could come here and give their kids some fun.”

Even though the parks Adventure Lake and Adventure Zone close after today, the zipline and ATV tours will remain open until October.
