LLANO, Texas — A Central Texas school district is getting a late start Wednesday morning after recent rainfall.
Today, Llano ISD is issuing a two-hour delay “due to weather and road conditions.” This comes after 6 to 7 inches of rainfall fell Tuesday night across Llano County.
The district said buses will start two hours later than their typical time after last night’s storms.
Drivers near Kingsland and Highway 71 will need to find alternate routes today, as Sandy Creek is currently in the action stage and low water crossings continue to be covered with water.
On Tuesday night, there was a Flash Flood Warning and River Flood Warning in Llano, but both have since been allowed to expire.
Seeing some major flooding here in Llano County! This is Slab Rd or RR 3404 where the Llano River crosses. Normally it goes under the road, but you can see it’s risen above. It’s one of the routes from Kingsland to Hwy 71, so you’ll need to find a detour this morning. pic.twitter.com/gP0C7SUZGB
