CROSS LANES, W.Va. (WSAZ) – A child and an adult were hit by a car in front of an elementary school in Cross Lanes Thursday morning, according to dispatchers.
Dispatchers tell us it happened just after 7 a.m. near Point Harmony Elementary.
School officials tell us the child was a student at Point Harmony Elementary, and the adult was a family member of that student.
Both people were taken to the hospital, according to dispatchers.
Dispatchers say the driver stayed on scene while first responders arrived.
There is no word on the extent of the victims’ injuries.
