It’s no secret that, when it comes to purchasing high quality beauty buys without the price-tag, then Aldi is one of the places to be.

For fragrance fans, the supermarket’s Specialbuys aisle has become popular for bottles that have taken on major brands including Dior and Jo Malone. For fans of Paco Rabanne’s Olympea Eau De Parfum, you’ll be pleased to hear the latest news.

The budget grocer’s own version of the highly popular designer perfume, Lacura Empress Eau de Parfum, is said to make its return to the middle aisle on Sunday, September 15. Usually popular among fans, we’d suggest snapping up this “lush” perfume while you can.

Said to “smell the same” as the iconic Paco Rabanne scent, Aldi’s Lacura bottle offers you luxury on a budget with a 100ml bottle priced at just £5.99. Meanwhile, an 80ml bottle of Olympea is on offer at Boots for £82.40, while full-price at £103 at Superdrug – meaning Aldi’s perfume is over £97 cheaper.

The Empress EDP boasts a variety of notes similar to the designer brand’s ‘signature’ scent. These include elegant notes of water jasmine, green mandarin, ginger flower, vanilla and sandalwood. It’s also housed in a similar glossy, blush-coloured bottle.

A sell-out success when it was first launched earlier this year, Aldi’s Lacura ‘dupe’ had shoppers racing to their nearest store to be in with the chance of getting their hands on it.

One shopper who got their hands on the perfume took to Facebook to exclaim: “Paco Rabannne Olympea Dupe smells the same, it’s gorgeous.”

Another fan on the social media website wrote: “I got myself Empress and it smelt soo good.”

Someone else gushed: “I got them all and they are absolutely lush!! For me best one is Empress, stays all day long!”

It’s not the only ‘dupe’ fragrance set to hit stores for just £5.99 on Sunday, September 15. Shoppers can also expect the Lacura Devotion EDP that is said to be the supermarket’s version of the iconic Dior J’Adore.

Boasting base fruity and floral notes, it is a “sensuous” scent that offers elegance on a budget. With Dior’s bottle costing £145 for 100ml, you might want to head to Aldi next week.

Another Dior copycat that is set to hit the stores at the same time is the supermarket’s take on the £140 Miss Dior. It’s the Perfect Pink EDP and, not only does it have similar notes of vanilla, Tonka bean and florals, it also has an eerily similar bottle.

Also included in next Sunday’s Specialbuys beauty range will be Aldi’s luxe body care must-haves that cost just £3.99, but are said to be similar to the iconic OUIA brand that retail at up to £32. You can also expect to find £3.99 scalp serums almost identical to those sold by The Ordinary at up to £16.81.

Aldi’s Empress EDP and full new range of beauty buys will be available in the middle aisle from Sunday, September 15. Remember, as with all Specialbuys, once they are gone, they are gone.
