The Lanarkshire Philatelic Society looks forward to the start of a new session with a wonderfully varied programme of displays.

Through the session, on Friday, September 13, visiting guests will give displays ranging from around the world – Argentina; Serbia; Jersey.

Three society members will also provide the following displays, WW1 East Africa; Germany; and Places I Have Lived.

The club is also set welcome members of the Borders Philatelic Society later this year, when they will make a visit to the society on November 29.

There will also be displays on the themes of Postcards; Christmas; and The Lanark Collection, on Members’ Nights.

On our opening night our new President, Alex Magowan, gives his “President’s Display”. This is followed on September 20 with a display presented by the President of the ASPS, Mr Graham Mill.

Meetings are held in the Caledonian Bowling Club in Hamilton – please note the different times – in September and March at 7:30pm, and October to February at 1:30pm.

Anyone with an interest in stamps, postal history, postcards etc, will be made very welcome.
