A social media director with the Washington Commanders, who previously worked for the New York Jets, was fired on Thursday after a secret recording seemingly caught the communications exec insulting NFL players and fans.

Rael Enteen’s comments were recorded during what appeared to be a sting operation by an undercover O’Keefe Media reporter during a date in a restaurant. The video was shared online Wednesday and quickly went viral.

“Over 50% of our roster is either white religious — and God says f–k the gays,” Enteen sarcastically told the right-leaning media organization. “Another big chunk is very low income African American, which is apparently very homophobic.”

Some players, he said, are “dumb as all hell.”

He appears to think pretty poorly about a lot of football fans too.

“Most of the fans I’d say are high school-educated alcoholics,” Enteen continued, referring to them as “mouth-breathers.”

The heavily edited interview doesn’t offer a lot of context, but was enough to sideline Enteen.

He was suspended Wednesday pending an investigation of the embarrassing recording, then fired on Thursday, a spokesperson for the Commanders said.

According to the canned public relations pro, it was his mission to get NFL ticket-buyers and players on the same page in a positive way.

“My job is to sell hope to the fans,” Enteen said.

Enteen spent two years managing social media for the Jets before heading to the nation’s capital.
