Concerns are growing for a man who has been missing from Glasgow’s south side for more than a week.

Daniel Pollock disappeared from the Pollok area of the city at around 5am on Thursday, August 29, and has not been seen or heard from since.

Police Scotland say the 42-year-old has no mobile phone and is believed not to have any access to money.

Daniel is described as 5ft6in tall, of medium build with short brown hair. He is normally clean-shaven but may now have one week’s worth of growth.

He was last seen wearing caramel-coloured trousers and a heavy cream-coloured anorak.

Daniel is known for going on long walks and has been missing in the past, but never for this long. Previously, he was traced in Linlithgow and Loch Lomond, despite not having connections to those areas.

Sergeant Stefan Bain from Pollok Police Station said: “Daniel has now been missing for more than a week and concern is growing for his welfare. He is known to take long walks, and has gone missing before, but not for this length of time.

“He has previously been traced in Linlithgow and Loch Lomond, areas he has no connection to, and we are keeping an open mind about which area he could be in.

“We would appeal to members of the public to keep a look out for Daniel and report any sightings to us via 101, quoting incident number 1998 of Wednesday, 4 September, 2024.”
