PRINCETON, W.Va. – Demolition and construction is planned for the Thorn Street Bridge, and the Princeton Economic Development Authority said regular updates will be given on its progress.

The work is part of the Princeton Overhead Bridge Project, which plans on replacing the existing bridge with a new one. According to the Projects’ website, the current bridge was built in 1947.

On September 5, the Princeton Economic Development Authority said on their Facebook page that the first phase of demolition and construction has continued.

The project is estimated to be completed on July 10, 2026.
