‘I married Turkish barber after meeting on holiday but wasn’t prepared for what happened next’

A woman who tied the knot with a Turkish barber within 90 days of meeting whilst abroad claims they’ve been the target of sick trolls.

Shane Harding, 27 married Mert, 28, who worked as a barber in Turkey, after the couple met in Istanbul two years ago, reports the Mirror.

Last year, the loved-up couple decided to get hitched on the TLC reality show 90 Day Fiance, a show which follows eight Brits who have entered into long-distance relationships in their pursuit of love, with some of them meeting on the show for the first time.

Fans of the show are shown the clash of cultures, explosive family dramas and issues that arise from a long-distance relationship with a stranger.

However, it seems Shane and Mert are madly in love after appearing on the show, and often document their life through Shane’s TikTok account.

In May, Mert shared a post revealing he’d ‘finally got his visa decision’, which grants him to stay in the UK with his bride for the rest of their lives.

It comes as the couple previously travelled four hours to see one another in their home countries.

The pair have been targeted by cruel trolls, who accuse Mert of marrying Shane in a way to secure his visa. One wrote: “Visa secured,” along with a thumbs up. Shane responded to the comment, saying: “Wow, get a grip.”

Whilst some viewers couldn’t help but make harmful comments, most comments were supportive.

One wrote: “Love you both.” Another said the pair were “such legends.”
