Three teenagers have been charged following a serious assault in Edinburgh. Emergency services raced to Broomhouse Road in Edinburgh after the alarm was raised at around 10pm on Friday.

Ambulance crews attended and a 17-year-old man was rushed to hospital for treatment. Police have confirmed that three boys – aged 18, 17 and 16 – have now been arrested and charged in connection.

The trio appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday. The teenager who was taken to hospital has since been discharged.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Three males, aged 18, 17 and 16, have been arrested and charged in connection with the serious assault of a 17-year-old male on Broomhouse Road in Edinburgh around 10pm on Friday, September 6, 2024.

“The victim was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and has since been discharged. The three males appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, September 9.”
