A missing persons probe is underway after a Scot pensioner was last seen three days ago. David Simpson has been reported missing from Lanark.
Police Scotland said the 77-year-old was last seen in the St Leonard Street area of the South Lanarkshire town at around 11.30am on Sunday, September 8.
Officers are now appealing for information to help them trace David, who is described as 5ft 8ins tall with short white/grey hair and is of stocky build.
It is not known what he was wearing when he vanished, and in the appeal officers said he is known to travel by bus within the Lanarkshire area.
Inspector Peter Johnstone, Hamilton Police Station, said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for David’s welfare, and efforts are ongoing to trace him.
“If you think you’ve seen him or have any information on his whereabouts, please get in touch with us.” Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 3684 of September 9.
