Amanda Holden has shared that her husband, Chris Hughes, believes she would be remarried “within the year” if they were to split up

The 53 year old Britain’s Got Talent judge made this revelation while in chatting with Davina McCall on Heart Breakfast (Wednesday, September 11).

Davina was discussing her dating show, ‘My Mum, Your Dad’, which is set to return for its eagerly awaited second season next week. During their chat, Davina mentioned that some of the women on her show have been single for a decade.

To this, Amanda responded: “Oh my gosh; I can’t imagine. I mean, this is going to make me sound shallow, but my husband always says I’ll probably be married within the year if he left me.”

The television icon has been married to record producer Chris Hughes, 51, since 2008 after meeting him in the US. The couple are parents to two daughters, Lexi and Hollie, reports the Express.

Earlier this month, Amanda told listeners that if she won £50,000, she would make a “huge donation” to “anyone who’s looking after animals who are struggling or suffering”.

However, she also noted that such a move might cause a rift in her marriage. JK joked that she wouldn’t stop at the donation and would adopt all 500 cats waiting for homes at Battersea Dogs and Cats home.

Amanda, who is an ambassador for the animal rescue charity, recently welcomed a new pet rabbit into her family. She also has a rescue dog named Rudie and a cat called Muffy.

Davina McCall previously shared her thoughts on why people are struggling to make ends meet, saying: “I think it’s the cost of living, it’s just people taking on more than they can manage. I would probably have them all, in my back garden and then my husband would leave me.”

The TV presenter’s show, My Mum, Your Dad, is set to return for a second season with a major twist. This time around, the single parents will be aware that their kids are watching from a nearby location, which Davina believes “causes a nice trust between a parent and child.”

Speaking on Heart Breakfast, Davina revealed that the new season is a “lot more emotional” and praised the kids for being “so invested in their parents finding love”, despite initial concerns that they wouldn’t take the experience seriously.
