Fairlea, W.Va. – Thursday night was wet and rainy, but that did not stop the rivalry soccer match between Woodrow Wilson and Greenbrier East from commencing.

The match didn’t start until about 8:00 pm and was moved from the Spartan’s home soccer field to the turf of the school’s football field because of the conditions.

With both squads being juggernauts in their class, this was bound to be a good one with some action.

It started very early in the first half with a goal from Coby Dillion scoring one of two goals within the first ten minutes.

There were two other goals scored in the first alone, one from Ali Farghaly of the Flying Eagles and one from Dillion DePriest-Thompson of The Spartans with five seconds left in the half.

With the win, Woodrow Wilson now holds home-field advantage in the playoffs.
