ATHENS, W.Va. – Concord University held the 2024 Concord Classic Volleyball for the fifth time this weekend.
The home squad Mountain Lions played four games and won every one.
They finished off their weekend with a big-time win over Mercer County rival Bluefield State University, 3-0.
It was a full effort from everyone who played for Concord in this one versus BSU, they won the first two sets easily, winning by more than 5 points in each.
The third set was a lot closer than the first two, with Bluefield State finding their groove, making it a little bit harder on Concord but eventually, the Mountain Lions pulled away with a 31-29 win, to secure the match victory.
With the win Concord improved to 5-8 on the season.
Bluefield State dropped to 2-11.
