The date for Helensburgh’s community-led Bonfire Night display has been revealed.

Thousands will flock to the town’s Civic Centre on Sunday November 3 for the display, which is organised by community group Helensburgh HEART – previously known as the Round Table.

The family-friendly event opens at 4pm with food, drink and stalls – with the display getting underway from 5.30pm.

Steve Slater from Helensburgh HEART said: “With our funding request window currently open, we countdown to our next event.

“Last year saw crowds gather around the Civic Centre for live entertainment, food and drinks. Our firework event began a short time later as folk witnessed another truly magnificent display on our spectacular waterfront.

“This free event returns courtesy of your kind donations and the efforts of local Helensburgh HEART volunteers.

“And a massive thank you goes out to one of our sponsors; GSS Plant Ltd. Without their support, the event would not be possible.

“Gates open at the Civic Centre at 4pm, where delicious food and tasty warm beverages await. Check out some exciting live entertainment, stalls and of course, our waterfront views before witnessing our incredible light display from 5:30pm.

“Whilst the event is free, your donations are encouraged which will enable us to continue with this iconic tradition for years to come – it’s a night not to be missed.”
