LINCOLN, Neb. (KSNB/Gray News) – Luck runs in the family for a father and son duo in Nebraska.
Douglas Dahl of Grand Island won $120,000 from the Nebraska Lottery, winning the Nebraska Pick 5 jackpot.
In July, Dahl’s son won $100,000 on a scratch-off ticket.
Dahl jokingly pointed out that his win was a little bigger.
Dahl purchased his winning ticket at Fat Dogs Truck Stop at 3310 Platte Road in Grand Island. The ticket contained five plays for the Sunday drawing, one of which matched that night’s winning numbers: 13, 22, 29, 31 and 36.
The odds of winning the Nebraska Pick 5 jackpot are 1 in 658,008. The game has drawings seven nights a week.
He’s been playing Pick 5 just about every day for years and his persistence paid off.
“It’s about time,” Dahl said.
