There’s nothing worse than being out and about, only to discover your mobile phone is about to die. Particularly if you don’t have the newest smartphone on the market, battery life can be an ongoing struggle – which is why it’s well worth investing in a proper power bank.

If you’re looking to put an end to battery woes, Amazon has a brilliant deal on INIU’s well-rated power bank. The Magsafe Power Bank is currently reduced from £39.99 to £24.35 in a limited-time deal – and Prime members can even get a further 50% off by applying a voucher at checkout.

Power banks have a reputation for being bulky and a bit annoying with cables flying around, which is what makes INIU’s version such a step up. Not only is it slim and sleek, it’s also fitted with magnets – so all you have to do is snap it to your phone and it’ll start charging. FYI, this nifty magnet capability is compatible with iPhones 12, 13, 14 and 15 – it also comes with wires for other types of smartphones.

If you do opt for wired charging, your phone will power up even more quickly – according to INIU, it can charge an iPhone 14 to 71% in just 30 minutes, which is seriously impressive. All that, and INIU promises that if you have any issues with quality within three years of purchasing, it’ll send you a new power bank.

So what do people think of the device? With 4,036 global ratings on Amazon, it’s clocked up an average of 4.5 stars out of 5.

“Compact, sturdy built, can charge 3 gadgets simultaneously. 2 wired and one magnetic. Strong magnet. Wouldn’t come off easily. Will use as a stand as well. Quick to charge both phones and tablets. Very happy so far,” one happy shopper raved.

“Charges well and does the job perfectly,” a second said. While a third chimed in: “Unbelievable charging capacity with sleek design.”

While some shoppers did share some more critical notes. “Love it, does cause some heat if used for too long but you can’t expect that not to happen really,” one customer warned. “Charges fine but surprised it does not also charge watches,” another said, which is useful to know.

If you did want to shop around, there are plenty of other power banks to choose from. Currys sells the BELKIN 10000 mAh Portable Power Bank for £19.99, but that doesn’t come with magnetic capabilities. Alternatively, if you’re looking for something a bit more heavy-duty, you could opt for this Solar Waterproof Power Bank, which costs £13.99 from The Range.
