Arsenal fans have slammed the social media admin running the official Premier League Instagram account and feel they are ‘getting trolled’.

The Premier League posted a video on Instagram on Wednesday which showed Erling Haaland controversially throwing the ball at Gabriel Magalhaes’ head.

The incident occurred in Sunday’s dramatic showdown between Arsenal and Manchester City after John Stones equalised in the 98th minute to make it 2-2.

Gunners supporters have been left furious that the Premier League social media admin has highlighted the incident, with some voicing their displeasure on Reddit.

‘The agenda is actually insane this season,’ Arsenal fan @dumdumbigdawg posted.

‘This is so s***,’ @Bob_Cobb_1996 added. ‘Now we are getting trolled by the league for their bull**** refs?’

‘What are they trying to do here?’ @sarinbhaskaran asked. ‘Are they suggesting it’s ok to throw a ball?’

@Revolutionary-Rip426 said: ‘For the league account to be posting it is pretty weird and that’s not being posted if that’s against any other team.’

‘Weird, almost like they’re openly admitting they favour MC?’ @-meat-popsicle- posted.

‘The official league page shouldn’t be promoting this,’ @11frm added.

Haaland has avoided a retrospective punishment from the Football Association (FA) over the incident.

That’s because it was reviewed during the game by VAR official John Brooks – who felt it wasn’t an act of violent conduct – and therefore not worthy of a red card.

Haaland’s bad behaviour was not limited to that one incident, with the Norway international striker brutally telling Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta to ‘stay humble’. The 24-year-old was also heard calling Gabriel Jesus a ‘f*****g clown’ and later said to Gunners star Myles Lewis-Skelly: ‘Who the f**k are you?’
