At a joyful service in Greyfriars Church, Kirkcudbright on September 19 the Reverend Alison Hudson was licensed as priest-in-charge of Greyfriars, Kirkcudbright and St Mary’s, Gatehouse.
The service was attended by clergy from across the Diocese of Glasgow and Galloway, and the two congregations. The Dean of the diocese, The Very Reverend Reuben Preston, celebrated the eucharist, and Bishop Gordon Mursell preached the sermon.
Alison has come to Galloway from Staffordshire, where she was team rector of several rural parishes. The two congregations look forward to Alison’s ministry in the years ahead.
