AUSTIN, Texas — Dell Children’s Medical Center got some very special visitors Thursday morning for “Super Hero Day.”
Dell Children’s staff and Austin Police Department officers dressed up for a day full of action, becoming iconic Marvel and DC heroes and villains to put on a show for young patients.
Superheroes like Batman, Iron Man, Wonder Woman, Spider-Man and more rappelled down the hospital’s walls into the courtyard to battle villains like the Joker as children watched from the windows.
After the show, the heroes and villains signed autographs and interacted with the kids during a meet-and-greet.
Dell Children’s said the goal of the event, which it hosts every year, is to provide a fun-filled day for patients at the hospital.
