Dancing On Ice has begun to reveal the line-up for its 2025 series, with ITV’s Lorraine announcing that Mollie Pearce will be among the participants.

Mollie, a former contestant on The Traitors, will be lacing up her ice skates and competing in the contest when it returns in January. The 22-year-old model and healthcare assistant from Bristol, who was born with a limb difference on her right hand, underwent surgery to remove her colon in 2020 and now lives with a stoma she affectionately calls Sid.

Speaking about joining DOI, she said: “I’m looking forward to doing a more physical challenge.”

While appearing on ITV’s Lorraine, Mollie received a supportive message from former DOI star Adele Roberts, who also competed with a stoma. Mollie opened up about her surgery during a conversation with her fellow Traitors in the penultimate episode.

“I really struggled to get my head around the fact that I was going to have a stoma,” she shared with her fellow finalists. “I wasn’t prepared for it. Eighteen-years-old, you kind of want to be out enjoying yourself with your friends, not having this life changing surgery,” reports the Mirror.

The announcement of Mollie’s Dancing On Ice participation followed closely after the first announcement on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, where reality TV star Ferne McCann was revealed as the first contestant for 2025.

Ferne thrilled Good Morning Britain viewers with exciting news when speaking to Susanna Reid and Ed Balls, announcing: “I’m doing Dancing On Ice! So excited! I’ve done Winter Wonderland with the children, but the penguins the kids have got – I’m crunched over them! I’m looking forward to it; it’s going to be a huge challenge. But the glitz and the glam, it’s going to be brilliant.”

As Dancing On Ice readies for its return in January, contestants are slowly being revealed much like the stars of 2024’s Strictly Come Dancing roster. The ITV show welcomed Holly Willoughby back as host in 2024, joined by Stephen Mulhern who took over the role from Phillip Schofield.

Lorraine is on ITV1 weekdays at 9am and on ITVX
