AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Police Department (APD) is learning more about a deadly shooting involving three people early Tuesday morning in northwest Austin.
According to APD, the incident happened just before 3 a.m. in front of a business on the 12000 block of Research Blvd., between Oak Knoll Drive and Spicewood Springs Road.
Police said one person died on scene and another was transported to a nearby hospital. The state of their condition is unclear.
In a media briefing Tuesday, APD also said the department made contact at a hospital with an additional person involved.
Police said this is an isolated incident there is no threat to the public at this time.
This is Austin’s 49th homicide this year.
