WASHINGTON (Gray DC) – Judge Amy Jackson didn’t mince words reading off Jay Kenyon’s guilty charges Tuesday, saying he acted with quote, “Revolutionary Fervor” on January 6th.

She found him guilty on five charges, including felony civil disorder, entering a restricted building, disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, disorderly conduct inside the Capitol, and parading, demonstrating or picketing in the Capitol.

While reading off each charge, she highlighted the defense’s strategy, and why she believed the government met its burden of proof.

For example, on the charge of felony civil disorder, defense lawyers argued that Kenyon was too weak to be combative.

The prosecution presented text message evidence of Kenyon boasting about working out and going to the gym in preparation for January 6th.

Prosecution also laid out more text messages they say Kenyon sent months after the attacks, saying he was proud of himself for what he did that day.

Kenyon’s sentencing is scheduled for January 10th.

He will not be kept in custody before sentencing.
