Eagle-eyed Eastenders enthusiasts have been left in fits of laughter after spotting a glaring error on the popular soap – that seems so evident now to the untrained eye.

During Monday night’s episode, viewers started a frenzy online after they’d been left totally bemused by a scene featuring Bianca Jackson and Kat Slater.

In one particular sequence, sharp viewers pointed out a noticeable gaffe which clearly showcased an item of equipment still visible in view of the camera, with editors forgetting to move the prop.

Bianca has made it her own mission to prove that Reiss Colwell is the person responsible for the death of his wife Debbie. She also has a theory that he’s covered it up and is willing to let Sonia take the wrap.

At the moment, Bianca, who is Sonia’s older sister, is the only person who the square to be suspecting of Reiss as she began her probe with Albert Square long-timer Kat Slater.

“There is something that he does not want me to know Kat!” spewed a troubled and concerned Bianca as Alfie Moon’s ex remained sceptical, with an ever witty response: “Don’t you think you are picking at crumbs, B, jumping from one thing to another, I’m worried about you?”

As the two went hammer and toe, distracted fans couldn’t seem to take their eyes away from Bianca’s grey trousers as they took to their keyboards to flag up the extraordinary blunder that was in plain sight.

As the old friends took to the street to chat about Bianca’s concerns it was even more evident that there was something clouding the shot as a fluffy microphone appeared on Bianca’s leg.

Masses of viewers were disrupted from their daily soap dose as they took to the platform X – formerly known as Twitter – to shout about the BBC error, with many finding the funny side.

One eagle-eyed fan kicked off the commentary with: “Nice of the microphone wind muff to make an appearance… not one to be upstaged.”

As another quipped: “This would have definitely ended up on Harry Hill’s TV Burp or It’ll Be Alright On The Night! How did it manage to go through editing without people noticing?”

A third person jokes: “The way it just creeps up into shot is sending me.” As a fourth online user added with good humour: “Editing team probably were half asleep.”

Eastenders airs on BBC One weekdays and can be streamed via iPlayer.
