Greggs fans have been speaking out on social media after discovering a nifty feature tucked away on their pasty and sausage roll packaging.

Blissfully unaware, Greggs customers have been swiftly discarding their snack wrappers without recognising the ingenious guide printed on the back.

One Reddit user came clean about their oversight in the CasualUK subreddit, posting an image and admitting: “Never looked at a Greggs wrapper before,” before adding: “They have a pasty guide. I got a cheese and onion bake.”

A closer examination highlights varying patterns for different products and checkboxes for custom breakfast orders, including sauce selections.

The revelation drew reactions ranging from surprise to light-hearted jests among Reddit users. One shared: “I only noticed this the other day too,” while another quipped: “I’d like this framed on my wall.”

Others pointed out practical uses, such as assisting servers with remembering orders through sauce checkboxes.

It was mentioned that new illustrations adorned the bags recently, but tick boxes have been a long-standing feature.

Beyond utility, these wrapper wonders also bring joy, as one commenter relayed how their 96-year-old grandmother delights in these detailed designs, “My gran is 96 and recently I’ve introduced her to the chicken bake and that’s always what she wants as a treat when I take her out,” they shared.

“Every time she reads the wrapper and is excited by the menu though she never changes from the chicken bake. It makes her happy to explore the menu so I am happy that she’s happy. £2 for a chicken bake that is really well filled, hot and fresh, what’s not to like (her words).”
