Strictly Come Dancing viewers believe there’s a ‘feud’ between professional dancers on the show.
Eagle-eyed fans have picked up on what they perceive to be brewing animosity among the cast, especially during one incident in the most recent broadcast that seemed indicative of off-camera conflict.
On the live show last weekend, chatter about a possible dispute intensified after Tasha Ghouri, the ex-Love Island star, and her Strictly partner Aljaz Skorjanec completed their dance and gathered with presenter Claudia Winkleman to discuss their routine.
What really captured the audience’s attention was professional dancer Katya Jones’s demeanour in the background as Tasha and Aljaz talked with Claudia. Observers found Katya’s expression rather joyless compared to her animated counterparts.
This prompted speculation that maybe she wasn’t too pleased with their interview segment. The Sun has shed light on these online debates, reports OK!
One fan commenting: “I noticed Katya didn’t look very happy when Tess was talking to Aljaz and Tasha in the auditorium.”
Adding fuel to the fire, another weighed in with: “I noticed that too. I wonder if Katya is the female pro who Aljaz ‘fell out with’ on the tour? Or I could just be reading too much into things as usual.”
There had previously been reports that not everyone was happy with Aljaz Skorjanec’s return to the much-loved Strictly dance floor. The renowned dancer had taken his leave in 2022, with whispers of discord involving a female co-star during the tour.
At the time, an insider claimed: “They actively recruited a dancer who left under a cloud. Aljaz was touted as an unproblematic, returning legend but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Most were relieved to see him go back then and are aghast he’s been given a free pass back.”
Responding to the current situation, Aljaz’s representatives stated: “Aljaz has the utmost respect for everyone he works with. He chose to leave the show in 2022 of his own accord but he has always loved Strictly and was delighted to be asked back. It is un’true’ to say or suggest he was forced out or that he acted in an aggressive manner at any time. He is excited to make his return to the dance floor this year.”
