Jasmine Harman felt the pressure mounting on the recent episode of Channel 4’s A Place in the Sun when a couple openly criticised one of the properties she had shown them.

On Thursday afternoon’s episode (October 3), Jasmine assisted lovebirds Steve and Sid in their quest for an idyllic holiday home in Fuerteventura, armed with a budget of £100,000.

The property hunt began promisingly, but things took a challenging turn for Jasmine with a particular home that didn’t offer the privacy or space the couple desired. In front of a three-bedroomed complex, the duo appeared keen at first glance as Jasmine alluded to what they could purchase for £120k, reports the Mirror.

Nonetheless, upon delving deeper into the fourth house, Sid expressed her clear dislike for it, stating: “I can’t stand it. There’s absolutely no privacy.”

Later on, when prompted for their view on the abode by Jasmine, Steve shared: “I personally liked it Jaz, the colour scheme didn’t work for us. So we would have to change that.”

Sid joined in with more feedback, pointing out: “Throughout the house it would need complete repainting. The kitchen is way too small.” She also lamented: “There’s absolutely no privacy at all and the patio at the back it’s half the shade- it comes out in the evening but that’s no good for me, the day is done.”

Attempting to defuse the situation, Jasmine pointed out that the property includes an extra balcony, but Sid remained sceptical. She aired her concerns about the balcony, saying: “Yeah but so has everybody else, they’re all overlooking each other. No, it’s no privacy at all!”.

Feeling the strain of the house hunt, Jasmine confessed to the audience: “Oh my word! I’m really feeling the pressure.”

However, the episode ended on a high note when Sid and Steve decided to make an offer on the second property they viewed. After some nail-biting negotiations, they secured their ideal home under the sun. Overcome with emotion, Sid expressed her gratitude to Jasmine, tearfully exclaiming: “I can’t believe we have a place in the sun!”.

A Place in the Sun airs weekdays at 4pm on Channel 4.
