BECKLEY, W.Va. – Just in time to plan for Halloween, the Costume Vault in Raleigh County is opening for the season.

The Costume Vault, organized by the Raleigh County Parks and Recreation, gives all kids a chance to dress up in a costume for Halloween trick-or-treating. Costumes of many different characters will be available.

The new or gently used costumes and accessories of all sizes have been donated and are free to kids, who must be present.

Each week before Halloween the Vault will be open at a different location.

The Raleigh County 4-H Camp at 200 Martin St. in Daniels will be the first stop, on Oct. 6 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and Oct. 7 and Oct 8 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Kids can come to the Lake Stephens Pavilion on Oct. 14 and Oct. 15 from noon to 7 p.m.

The Vault will close out the month by being at Dry Hill Prosperity Park (191 Mollohan Dr. Beckley) on Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Oct. 21 and Oct. 22 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Donations for next year will also be collected at these locations as well as at the Raleigh County Parks and Rec office year-round.
