CCTV images have been released of a male being hunted by police after a robbery on Edinburgh’s busiest shopping street.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at around 5pm on Princes Street in the capital.

It has not been confirmed who or what was targeted in the robbery, or the value of the theft.

But officers have shared pictures of the man, whom they wish to speak to as part of their ongoing enquiries.

He is described as a white male, aged between 30 and 40 years old, with a slim build and brown facial hair.

He spoke with a Glasgow accent and was wearing a white hooded top, black trousers and a black beanie hat.

The force have appealed for anyone who recognises him or has knowledge about the incident to get in touch.

They have also urged the man himself to come forward, if he sees the appeal.
