A man has been arrested and charged after an American doctor was killed in a crash in Edinburgh earlier this year.
The incident took place on Wednesday, April 10, and today, October 4, Police Scotland revealed that a man had been detained in connection with the incident.
William Noel, from Philadelphia, 58, was rushed to hospital following a smash on Trinity Crescent in the capital on, but died 19 days later on April 29 in hospital.
Cops said the 41-year-old man “has been arrested and charged in connection with road traffic offences following a crash in Edinburgh“.
The incident took place at around 5.50pm and saw the road closed while officers conducted an investigation into the circumstances.
A Police Scotland statement read: A 41-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with road traffic offences following a crash in Edinburgh.
“The incident occurred around 5.50pm on Wednesday, 10 April, 2024, on Trinity Crescent. A 58-year-old man was injured in the collision and died on Monday, 29 April, 2024. The man is due to appear at court at a later date.”
