WASHINGTON (Gray DC) – Former President Donald Trump is returning to Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday to the site of an assassination attempt that he survived back in July.

“We’re going back to Butler,” said the former president at a rally recently. “We have a lot of people coming, and I really believe that will be the safest place on Earth.”

The rally will honor Corey Comperatore, the former firefighter who died during the shooting and two other people who were injured.

The rally may also bring a big boost to Trump’s campaign, with the event happening exactly one month before Election Day.

Security will also be a major concern at the rally after several lapses happened the last time he visited Butler.

Former President Trump’s Secret Service protection has increased since then.

The congressional investigation into how the attempt happened is still ongoing but proceeding with a task force dedicated to it now looking into the Pennsylvania assassination attempt and the Florida assassination attempt that happened in September.

On Friday, the task force requested all records of the latest attempt from Homeland Security, the Secret Service, FBI and the Department of Justice.

The man charged with the second attempt, Ryan Routh, now has a trial date which is set to start on Nov. 18.
