Lisa Hogan has revealed that her partner Jeremy Clarkson is “horrified” by her fondness for electric vehicles, despite his preference for “he just likes V12 engines”. Speaking on the Sunday with Miriam podcast, the 50 year old actress and star of Clarkson’s Farm shared insights into their life together.

She remarked: “We just mooch along. I would say I’m quite relaxed and I’m quite inquisitive, and he’s interesting, so I do listen and he’ll read me his columns sometimes and I will say, ‘I disagree with every word of that’.”

On Clarkson’s provocative nature, she added: “He wrote something about Jane Eyre the other day and I just said that’s so… I disagree with everything on it, but he will be provocative for that reason,” the Express reports.

Expressing her own preferences, Hogan stated: “I like electric cars and he’s horrified by that, but I like the silence and I like the cleanliness and he just likes V12 engines, but we are each entitled to our own opinions and we have them.”

Known for his critical views on electric cars, Clarkson has continued this stance into the 21st century, even reflecting on the distinctive sound of petrol cars in contrast to electric ones during his last appearance with co-hosts Richard Hammond and James May. Clarkson mused: “Can you hear that? I love that sound. And all you lot growing up today with your electric cars, you’re never gonna hear it.

“There are lots of reasons why we’re jacking this show in, but, for me, one of the main ones is I’m simply not interested in electric cars. They are just white goods, they’re washing machines, they’re microwave ovens. You can’t review those, you can’t enjoy them.”

Jeremy and Lisa have been an item since around 2017; they jointly manage Jeremy’s farm and recently hosted a gathering that saw nearly 200 fox-red Labradors in attendance. Two of these dogs, Sansa and Arya, belong to Jeremy and Lisa who introduced their pets to the other 177 Labradors at the event organised by Michael Singer’s wife Kerry, as reported by GloucestershireLive.

Since welcoming Sansa and Arya into their home, Jeremy has regularly shared updates about his and Lisa’s cherished dogs. Commenting on the event, Michael Kerry said: “It was amazing. Everyone was really happy to be there – everyone had a fantastic day. All the dogs were really well-behaved.

“It was a two birds one stone moment. I get to see a lot of Fox Red Labs, plus I get to go to Jeremy’s pub.”
