Hot and dry conditions will persist for the second weekend of the popular music festival.

AUSTIN, Texas — In case y’all have not noticed, it has been a toasty Weekend 1 of the Austin City Limits Music Festival! Not only that, we’re tracking the likelihood for more of the same as we head into Weekend 2.

This is because we are tracking an area of high pressure over Central Texas that’ll bring in drier conditions and temperatures, getting to the lower to mid-90s during the week.

While we do remain in the lower 90s to start the workweek, the high pressure building over our region will allow for highs to get to the mid-90s. We may even make a run at the upper 90s by the eve of ACL Weekend 2 on Thursday.

ACL Weekend 2 allergies

While the heat of Weekend 1 has come and gone, we are tracking very similar conditions for Weekend 2 of ACL, with highs in the lower to mid-90s and mostly sunny skies. That means dust and allergies could again become an issue, similar to what many festivalgoers dealt with during Weekend 1.
