BLUEFIELD, W.Va. -In Bluefield City Park volunteers gathered to clean up the local trails.

With all age groups present cutting, removing, and more of trees took place.

The trails are a local treasure to those in the community and volunteers want to make sure they stay a safe and clean place to be in nature.

“We had a couple of people that really like using the trails volunteer to come out with their chainsaws. So, we’re out trying to start getting some of the, well I’ve already seen at least 150 trees across the trails,” said Mickey Pellillo, Chairman of Volunteer Community for Bluefield Trails.

The community will continue to have cleanup efforts for the trails.
