Filming was put on hold in July 2023 due to the strike in July 2023, but production resumed in North Carolina in November.
The series then moved to Morocco in February, where filming took place for a month in various locations, including the cities of Essaouira and Ouarzazate.
Morocco has become a popular destination for film and television productions, particularly fantasy series, with Essaouira and the Ait Benhaddou village near Ouarzazate having previously featured in Game of Thrones.
John B star Chase Stokes took to Instagram to describe the filming experience as a “crazy, crazy journey”.
