TAYLOR, Texas — A boil water notice has been issued for parts of the city of Taylor as crews make repairs on a water main break.
The city said the water main break on Fourth Street caused a significant pressure drop and affected residents will experience low water pressure until repairs are made.
Customers in the affected area are asked to boil their water prior to consumption until further notice. This includes water for washing hands and faces, brushing teeth and drinking.
Water for drinking, cooking and ice making should be boiled and cooled before use. The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes.
Residents may also purchase bottled water or get water from some other suitable source of drinking water.
