Emmerdale fans witnessed a character stumble upon something incriminating about the villainous Tom King on Monday night.

This could potentially lead to Tom’s downfall, with viewers hoping that this character will expose him. Tom discovered his lost iPad at Moira Dingle’s residence on Monday, after her young son Isaac Dingle had brought it there.

The device was borrowed from his friend Carl Holliday, who happens to be Tom’s young cousin. They used it for playing video games, oblivious to the significance of the device and its connection to Tom’s abuse towards his wife Belle Dingle.

The iPad contains footage where he secretly filmed Belle in her home. It also holds evidence that could support the claim that he was abusive and stalked her.

Belle needs this evidence after she reported Tom to the police for domestic abuse, while admitting to attacking him with an axe. The police are eager to locate the iPad, unaware that Tom now possesses it, having successfully retrieved it from Moira’s house when she was absent, reports the Mirror.

Moira had actually viewed the footage but forgot about it and the iPad after suffering a seizure, following her diagnosis of a brain tumour. Tom is convinced he’s victorious and Belle will be defeated in court.

He was depicted taunting her about this on Monday, believing that now he had the iPad, she had no evidence against him. He insinuated that she would not be believed and would be incarcerated, attempting to deter her from proceeding with her allegations.

However, it appears Tom may have jumped the gun, as he subsequently returned home and opted to obliterate the iPad. The scene depicted Tom shattering it into fragments outside the house, evidently attempting to dispose of it before anyone else could see.

Yet, someone did witness it – they observed as he pulverised it into pieces – that individual being young Carl. With an eyewitness to his cover-up, will Carl reveal what he saw?

Surely if inquiries are made about the absent iPad, vital to the police’s investigation, Carl will remember the incident?

Could this be the moment when the police discern that Tom is keen to keep its contents hidden?

Moreover, should the iPad resurface in its damaged state, there might be a method to retrieve the data stored on it. Could Tom’s attempts to hide his wrongdoings eventually come back to bite him?
