A heartwarming tale has emerged of a brave little puppy who was found in a “dreadful state” but has miraculously recovered after being rescued.
While it’s easy to get a dog from a breeder or kennel, the harsh truth is that animal shelters are brimming with pets in desperate need of a loving home. On 13 September, a golden pup was brought to a shelter after being discovered in an appalling condition.
A shelter worker posted on Reddit‘s r/BeforeNAfterAdoption page that this “courageous little soul” was found with two dislocated legs, unable to stand or walk. He was whimpering in pain and had a deep open wound on his head, impairing his vision.
However, after taking the adorable pup to the vet, it was revealed he was born with a condition causing him discomfort. Thankfully, three days post-rescue, the swelling reduced enough for the puppy to open one eye and he started eating independently. Despite his legs still being bandaged, he had made significant progress.
Two weeks after the rescue, the shelter confirmed that the puppy was “eating enthusiastically and constantly seeking attention”. His head wound healed beautifully and he received the necessary treatment.
Most importantly, he can now walk comfortably and no longer needs bandages on his legs. A touching video demonstrates his remarkable transformation.

After the post about a rescued dog went viral on Reddit, thousands have poured in to express their support. One individual remarked: “Precious puppy! Thank you for saving him.”
Another shared: “Poor angel. Thank you for saving his previous life.” A third added: “Aw poor pup! A rough start to life, but beautiful progress has been made.”
