Breakfast is often hailed as the most essential meal of the day – and that doesn’t change even for those on a weight loss mission.

A good brekkie kick-starts your day, providing the right nutrition to fuel your activities. And a TikTok user with the handle ketorecipes shared his simple breakfast solution that reportedly led to losing 4lbs in just one week.

Dubbed the “breakfast power bowl” this straightforward recipe is designed to keep you satisfied throughout the day thanks to its high protein and healthy fat content.

In his popular clip, he informed his followers that eating variations of this hearty breakfast supported his weight loss when getting back on a diet plan. Not only is the recipe easy to make, but he also emphasised its delicious taste.

He said: “It’s packed with protein and healthy fats, so it kept me full. Super satiated and it’s so good.”

For those eager to replicate his culinary success, here is what you should do:

  • Start by making your boiled eggs. Bring the water to the boil before you drop them in and cook them to your liking. He recommends 8 minutes 25 seconds for firm eggs, or seven-and-a-half minutes for a “jammier” centre.
  • Grab a plate, and add one portion of cottage cheese to the centre.
  • After cooling the eggs in an ice bath, remove the shell, and slice up the eggs to add on top.
  • Slice half an avocado and add to the plate.
  • Add your toppings of choice – such as onion, cucumber, tomatoes or any sauces you like.
  • Top with some chilli lime seasoning and everything bagel seasoning.

The video has gathered a lot of attention online, accumulating more than 270,000 likes and many viewers are expressing their eagerness to give the recipe a whirl.

One viewer exclaimed: “Cottage cheese is the best thing ever created. I can’t believe I can eat an entire bowl of cheese first thing in the morning, and it’s good for weight loss. Blessed.”

Another commented: “Great idea. I needed a different idea for breakfast – perfect.” Meanwhile, a third added: “I was about to make scrambled eggs with cottage cheese, but now I think I have to make this.”
