A hotel on the edge of Loch Lomond is currently available to stay in at a bargain price.

The Inn on Loch Lomond is an award-winning hotel that dates all the way back to the early-19th century. As well as its tranquil location, it features an onsite bar and restaurant and a “plethora of welcoming facilities”.

An overnight stay for two at the inn can now be booked for £109 through voucher website Wowcher, marking a discount of 50 per cent. Meanwhile, you can also book a two-night stay for £162, which is 52 per cent off the standard cost of £350.

The rooms at The Inn on Loch Lomond include “cosy” double beds and private Porcelanosa bathroom. Amenities such as flatscreen televisions, tea and coffee making facilities, and hair-dryers are also provided.

Both of the Wowcher deals include a two-course dinner at The Inn on Loch Lomond’s historic restaurant, as well as breakfast in the morning. In addition to classic dishes such as fish and chips and steak pie, the inn serves up a variety of burgers, pizzas, and salads.

For those looking to make the most of the idyllic Scottish autumn, there is a treasure trove of things to see and do in the area. Some of the highlights include the 13th-century Balloch Castle and Country Park and the majestic Finnich Glen.

On travel website Tripadvisor, The Inn on Loch Lomond has received praise amongst visitors. It currently possesses an average rating of four out of five based on 2,253 reviews.

One guest shared: “What a wonderful overnight had by my partner and I. From start to finish everything was perfect.

“Friendly welcome at checkin from the host/receptionist. The room was spotless with a great loch-side view.

“It was warm, cozy and spacious.”

A second agreed: “We stayed here with our corgi puppy in December 2017 and recently returned for lunch this autumn week for a lunch. The happy memories were relived as we had lovely lunch, food and service were fantastic and we all hope to come back soon.
